A. Preamble

Halo Investing Europe AG («Halo»), Industriering 40, 9491 Ruggell, Liechtenstein may collect and process information and personal data that refer to you. Such information is processed by Halo in the context of existing or intended business relations including the use of this website. Halo seeks to protect any and all personal data as best as possible and according to technological industry standards.

This Privacy Policy describes the processing of personal data in connection with the provision of services by Halo and operations of this website. This Policy is based on and in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EC) 2016/670), the Liechtenstein Data Protection Act (DPA) and additional relevant statutory provisions.

B. Personal Data

Personal Data is any information which directly or indirectly allows identification of or can be linked to a natural person. This includes, for example, name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, date of birth, age, gender and tax identification number. Personal Data may also include Sensitive Data such as health data or data related to criminal proceedings.

C. Use of Personal Data

Halo collects, processes and uses your Personal Data exclusively for purposes allowed by Art 5 and Art 6 GDPR, thus specifically for and in context with


(i) the performance of it’s contractual or statutory obligations to you,
(ii) compliance with Halos legal or regulatory duties,
(iii) the pursuit of Halos legitimate interests and
(iv) the observation of public-interest requirements (such as the prevention or detection of criminal offenses).

Halo does only collect and process personal data if and to the extent it is required for the performance and processing of Halos services or which is voluntarily provided by you.

D. Your Rights

Information Right

You have the right to request information about your Personal Data that is stored by Halo.

Right to Rectification or Deletion

You have the right to request, in writing and free of charge, the rectification or deletion of your Personal Data insofar it is incorrect or stored or processed without good reason. Your request for rectification or deletion will be processed upon receipt within a reasonable time. Deletion may be prevented by legal regulations. In such a case, Halo will process your Personal Data only to the extent necessary to comply with statutory requirements.

Right of Objection or Cancellation

You have the right to object in writing to the processing of your Personal Data or to cancel your consent to the processing of such data in whole or in part. In such a case, Halo will process your Personal Data only to the extent necessary to comply with statutory requirements

Right to Restriction

You have the right to restrict the transmission of your Personal Data to third parties. Such restriction may conflict with legal regulations. In such a case, Halo will only transmit your Personal Data to third parties to the extent necessary to comply with the statutory requirements.

Right of Complaint

You have the right to file a complaint with the competent Liechtenstein supervisory authority. You may also contact another supervisory authority of an EC or EEA Member State, for example at your place of residence or work or at the place of an alleged infringement.

E. Transmission of Personal Data to Third Parties

Personal Data collected in context with the business activities of Halo will generally not be disclosed to third parties. In order to fulfill business assignments, it is however possible that your Personal Data is forwarded to third parties due to processing requirements or statutory provisions.

Data is only transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area (so-called third countries)

  • if an adequacy decision of the European Commission relating to such country has been passed ; or
  • if it is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures or the performance of a contract and you have given us your express consent (e.g. within the context of specific services) ; or
  • if the transfer is necessary for important reasons of public interests or is stipulated by law.

F. Protection of Personal Data

Halo takes appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect any Personal Data from loss, unauthorized access or misuse, both in terms of data processing and data storage and in relation to its internet presence. Notwithstanding the data protection measures taken, you must be aware that data transmission on the Internet – this is true both for websites and e-mail services – may involve uncontrolled cross-border transmission. Even if the sender and the recipient are in the same country, cross-border data transmission may occur. Halo cannot and does not guarantee the confidentiality of data transmitted on the internet or by email.

G. Personal Data Storage

The systems used by Halo and required for data processing and storage are located in Liechtenstein and / or Switzerland. Data transmitted by you will be kept by Halo for at least six months and stored for as long as it is operationally necessary or required by law.
